Managing Virtual Teams
This course recognizes that Project Management is becoming more diverse and far-flung. It is designed to deal with some of the problems encountered in dealing with teams that are not face-to-face and of different cultures. This course will deal with working with internal teams but can be modified to talk about dealing with outsourcing problems and the communication requirements thereof.

- Use multiple forms of communication to explain ideas
- Translate project objectives into understandable requirements in a virtual environment
- Integrate a virtual team to become an efficient unit
- Utilize cultural differences and timeframes to your advantage
- Introduce different cultures into the requirements at hand

- How culture, language and time zones affect project requirements
- Integrating individuals who exist in separate areas or time zones
- Chartering and building a virtual team
- Understanding the different requirements of a virtual team in a contractor mode
