Ernie Baker, PMP
Background
Ernie was instrumental in the development, implementation and coordination and
instruction of a multi-year project management training programs for MetLife
Insurance, Disney and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Ernie is a frequent presenter, offering presentations throughout the US and
Canada. Past attendees of PMI Conferences remember that he presented to a
standing-room-only crowds in Anaheim, Seattle and New Jersey. Ernie is best
known for his sense of humor, his analogies, stories and insights into the world of
the project manager.
Over the past 20 years, he has worked on projects for clients such as Bristol-
Myers Squibb, MetLife, Mercedes Benz USA, IBM, Disney, A&P, United
Technologies, Johnson & Johnson, and Exxon. His experience covers
Information Technology, Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Consulting, Sales and
Marketing, and Project and Program Management. Ernie was also a member of
the PMBOK® Guide, 3rd Edition Update Team.
Prior to entering the corporate world, Ernie served as an Engineer Officer in the
US Army Reserves, serving as a Project Manager for various Military Civil and
Combat Engineering projects. His last assignment was as a Commanding Officer
for a Combat Engineer Company and held the rank of Captain, USAR.
