Robert Knight, PMP
Background
Bob is a professional with a balanced portfolio of training, managerial and
technical experience including project management, information technology, website development and maintenance, information systems, data center operations, communications and network operations, supply chain management, strategic plans and architectures, inventory control systems, warehouse operations, transportation systems and logistic support. Creative problem solver, team builder and change manager, Bob has a unique ability to interface and
communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
Bob has had tremendous experience with project management offices all over
the country. His last assignment was the head of the Project Management Office
for Lockheed Martin with 165 projects reporting into him for over $90 million worth of revenue.
Bob is a keynote speaker on the topic “Need for project management” in the IT
related fields as well as sought after for his advice on how to develop and
promote a project management office within a corporate organization. Bob has
also been the co-author of a dynamic process to evaluate project management
offices and create realistic baseline and metrics to evaluate their continued
success.
Bob was an adjunct professor in Management Information Systems, Computer
Center Operations, Distributed Computer Systems and Information Resource
Management at the graduate level for four years at the Naval Postgraduate
School, Monterey CA. He served as lead Information Technology instructor at
the Supply Corps School, Athens, GA.
