Charles (Chuck) D. Bates

Background
Chuck is the past Director of Employee Education and Development at The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME.

He has worked with businesses such as The Jackson Laboratory to create custom-designed curriculums that meet the needs of individual entities. These company-specific education programs are offered for post- secondary credit or non-credit.

Additionally, Chuck is an instructor in ISO 9000, Team Building skills, Communication skills, Train - The- Trainer, Leadership and Management skills.

Chuck is credited for developing educational pathways for numerous firms including The Maine Composite Alliance, Lemforder Corporation, Brewer Automotive Components, The Jackson Laboratory, Olamon Industries, Osram Sylvania, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine.

Credentials
He has served on the State Board of Education's Professional Development Committee which, during the past years, has developed technology training programs for teachers and administrators. He is also active on numerous other committees statewide, including Coastal Acadia Development Corporation, Piscataquis Economic Development Committee, Eastern Maine Development Corporation, Maine Science and Technology Foundation, Maine Space Grant Consortium and the Maine Composite Alliance.
He is certified in curriculum design and job analysis by Ohio State University.
